Well, the City of Seattle has Wallingford over to Aurora for a bit, down to 45th. Enough that Kid Valley is definately ours!
If we annexed all the way to the ship canal, we would have that very strange space under Aurora, with the Fremont Troll.....that would be a little to spacy for Wallingford. That is definately a "Freakmont" area.
But Woodland Park Ave N is a part of Wallingford!!

http://www.seattle.gov/util/stellent/groups/public/@spu/@csb/documents/webcontent/spu01_003630.pdf

I would like to nominate Aurora as the western boundary of Wallingford. For some reason people seem to use Stone Way as the edge, but Aurora is so much harder to get across it might as well be a river. If we can annex the Stone Way to Aurora section, we'll add quite a few blocks to Wallingford and maybe increase our tax base. Then we can fund improvements to our army of killer robots.

As someone living on Woodland Park Ave. N, west of Stone Way and east of Aurora, there's no doubt where my heart is. Wallingford!

I appreciate the clarification about what is Wallingford and what isn't. I've lived in Wallingford since '64 (on 54th & Kensington, then 50th & Latona). Went to McDonald Elementary (Wallingford), Marshall Jr. High (Greenlake) and Lincoln High (Wallingford). I hadn't heard the "Tangletown" name until the Zoka Coffee House moved in and developed their "Tangletown" blend, pulling the name from a little historical research. Zoka is so confused, listing their location on 56th as "Greenlake Zoka". Talk about reinventing the neighborhood through ignorance, then having others believing it 'cause it is on the web. All Zoka had to do, and newcomers could do, is ask someone who has lived in the neighborhood for 3 - 4 decades and they'll probably give you a better answer than a coffee shop. Welcome to Wallingford, everyone!!
