I’m an RSS reader who ends up clicking through roughly every day anyhow to check the comments. I definitely appreciate sites (like Wallyhood) that make their full content visible through the feed; for sites that don’t, ironically, I do a lot less clicking through.

Strange. Back in the day I was all over programs like FreeAgent, etc. to deal with Usenet groups. In my mind these programs are a step or two up the tree from RSS. But, I’ve just never been able to get into using RSS. Every time I’ve tried I’ve always been frustrated with websites that don’t send the whole article (understandable) or don’t seem to update the feed often enough (frustrating, though maybe this is partly the…what do you call it reader?…I’m using.) I prefer to just go to the websites. Google toolbar’s “Open in tabs” for bookmark folders is enough syndication for me.

We don’t have ads today, but do plan on adding in the near future. It’s true that RSS readers would miss the sponsor logos on the site, but we’ll also do biweekly “thanks to our sponsors” posts that will reach RSS readers.

seems like people getting emails or RSS would mean they don’t see advertising. Do you guys have ads on website? Do these get transmitted via RSS?

OK – I’ll bite, but I don’t come to the site everyday. It’s just easier to get the RSS and only ping the site if I am motivated to comment (eg….parking permits in E.Wall)
Yep – I think the site is pretty, but RSS beats it for convenience!
