this is ridiculous. how about trash cans AND ask ppl to take their picnic stuff with them....they also took out the one poop bag receptacle. I always bring my own, but I thought this was helpful. I just throw my dog poo bags in the bathroom garbage can.

I live across the street from this park, and I've seen plenty of enforcement as far as leash laws and dog licensing here. Has something changed in that respect?

It appears that the community is pretty good at cleaning up after themselves, even with the lack of trash cans. The park looks pretty good. The only stuff left behind yesterday is the usual child's clothing on the bench by the play equipment. And this was after the volleyball activity the other night!

$4000 trash can? What's next, $500k self-cleaning toilets?? Oh, wait...

FWIW, the push to save $ is also the reason why there's zero-enforcement of afterdark closing times for the parks, dog leash/scoop/license laws...

We know we'll be in trouble when they ask us to start mowing park grass ourselves.
