The Wallingford Community Council will review two new recreational additions to Wallingford at the WCC’s meeting on Wednesday, January 4th.
The first involves a park-open space development in conjunction with the rebuilding North Transfer Station. Members of the Community Council have been negotiating for months with Seattle Public Utilities regarding contract details for the rebuild of the transfer station. Part of those negotiations concerns an open space and park development next to the site. Details of the project will be presented to the WCC Board for review and approval at its January meeting. Details of the proposal can be found at http://wallingford.org/get-involved/community-council/ . Two documents are available for review: a diagram of the site and a detailed project proposal. Let us know what you think at Wednesday’s meeting.
As we reported in early December, the Center for Wooden Boats announced the lease of the waterfront portion of the old Tank Farm site from King County. Representatives of the CWB will make a presentation to the Community Council regarding their vision and plans for the site.
The WCC meets every first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Center. All are welcome.
