Caffe Appassionato to add beer, wine, and dessert

Margaret Margaret March 8, 2012 6 Comments
Caffe Appassionato will have four taps in constant rotation with different beers.

Wallyhood reader David writes:

I get my coffee at Caffe Appassionato at N 45th and Stone Way each day.  I saw some taps there today and the owner James says that they will be serving beer and wine starting March 20th.  Will be interesting to see how this works out.

So, we spoke to James who confirmed that Caffe Appassionato (1218 N. 45th St.) will indeed be serving beer, wine, and dessert beginning Wednesday, March 20. There will be four taps with a constant rotation of different beers.

The store will also be extending its hours to 10pm every night except Sunday (when it closes at 6pm). James also tells us a “Happy Hour” is in the works, and he’ll let us know when that begins.

Thanks for the tip, David!

Nice! Unlike other cities, Seattle has a dearth of coffee shops that also serve beer.

There’s also relatively few coffee shops that stay open this late, so I’m looking forward to this.

This is great news! My husband and I were just talking about how there were no cake/pastry dessert places open late in the area. So excited that we’ll have this as an option. I hope there will be cake, pie, and other desserts on the menu…

Maybe the site for the next Wallyhood meetup?

Makes sense: two of the three liquids I consume regularly are coffee and beer.
