According to the SPD Blotter, Ryan James Purdy, the person robbing people in parks by flashing a fake police badge, was arrested Wednesday in Auburn after bragging to a fellow bus passenger about his signature scam. Apparently, there's a guy posing as a cop who's been robbing people in the area. SPD tells us that a 46 year-old male named Ryan James Purdy (aka Tracy Byers) has been on robbery detectives' radar since December, when he robbed several people in Volunteer Park, taking cash and credit cards, after he flashed a fake badge. More apartments planned for Stone Way

Looks like plans for a new mixed-use apartment building on Stone Way are in the works. This time, it's on the former site of Stoneway Roofing, at 3636 Stone Way N.
