I'm new to Wallingford and have stepped in dog crap on the boulevard outside my house more than once, and have seen it along my street and others in the neighborhood. Is this an unfortunate trend in Wallingford?

It's the norm for us. We don't have a dog, but our neighbor's dog crapped in our yard *almost* every single day for weeks--until I finally had enough. My previous efforts, telling them that their dog pooped in our yard on several occasions, apparently weren't enough to motivate them to stop letting their dog run free and crap in our yard! It was so infuriatingly inconsiderate, I couldn't even get my mind around it. I still see them allow the dog to run free but it's much more rare now, since I told them it was happening EVERY DAY! Oy.

Yeah, there is no excuse for this. I have had a yellow lab in Wallingford for 7-1/2 years, and I've picked up every poop (and carried it home to my OWN garbage can).

Yes, there are unfortunately a lot of inconsiderate dog owners in Wallingford that don't pick up their dog's poop and think every park is an off leash dog area.
