   I just came in from the rain trying to coax a little black and tan dog into a warm house for the night, but he wasn't having any of it!

   Small, short coat, looked to be 7-10 yrs old, a little timid. Had a collar but no tag. Was hoping to get him out of the rain and see if he was chipped in the morning.

   If you lost this little guy, I spotted him 10:45 Thurs. 1/7 at 42nd and Bagley heading north on Bagley. He took off into a yard and I think went under their raised deck just 3 blocks north of 42nd on the east side of the street.

   Hope he makes his way home!

   I think I've seen that dog before, and had the same experience. He's a stubborn little fella, but I'm pretty sure he knows his way home -- and I think home is, indeed, on the north side of 44th between Bagley and Corliss. I followed him there one night (trying, as you did, to get him to come inside so we could properly search for his humans). After he disappeared into the backyard, I checked with some neighbors (the homeowners didn't answer when I knocked), who said the people at that house have a little black dog who tends to wander.
