1. I first noticed a man yelling profanities and (from the sound of it) pounding on a car or cars. From the wording, it seemed to be big anger directed at a woman, but I only heard the one voice. The yelling was loud, kept on intermittently for 10 minutes or so, along with periodical pounding. Initially sounded like a potential domestic dispute just before it reached boiling, so I called it in. Also seemed to revolve around a car that started up when the yelling began, then shut down, then stayed in place.

While on line with 911, I went outside and saw lots of spinning lights coming from 45th at Corliss/Bagley/& or Meridian. Anyone know anything at all?

  2. There were two cop cars at Goldies on 45th at that time last night. I didn't see any more than that as I drove by.

  3. There's a nutjob/drug addict who lives behind Goldies and yells at passers-by who he thinks are disturbing his yard. He tailed me and my kid around the block and accosted us. To be fair, living behind Goldies would make anyone insane.

  4. When I called it in, the dispatcher said there were already cars looking into the (unspecified) problem on 45th, but they didn't know about this scenario and would send someone farther north to check out my call. What alarmed me was that something really similar happened (but that time a man who was losing it with the woman and baby-in-a-stroller who were with him; I'd first tried talking with them) in the same place a month or 2 ago, ending in gunshots. Apparently unrelated incidents, but the gunshots related to Goldie's? Never found out what that one was, and the police sent to check it out were actually offensive with me (and the gunshots I heard didn't come from Goldie's), unlike the incredibly helpful & concerned dispatcher on last night's call.
