Wallyhood is the Wallingford neighborhood blog. We foster community and communication between Wallingford residents by creating a voice and storyline for residents to follow and participate in. We cover local personalities, events, daily life…anything and everything relevant to our neighbors.
There are two ways you can support our efforts financially: sponsorship and advertising.
Sponsorship
We’re inviting local businesses to support our mission by becoming Wallyhood Supporting Sponsors. As a sponsor, you’ll not only know that you’re helping a beloved neighborhood institution, you’ll get prime exposure to a highly localized, targeted audience: Wallingford!
As our thank you to sponsors, we offer:
- Your logo prominently displayed and linked to your web site1
- Inclusion in our regular “Thanks to our sponsor” posts
- Our undying gratitude
We ask $100 / month for sponsorship, but, to help you get started, we’ll discount that 25% if you pay the first two months in advance. Plus, we have a “two-fer” arrangement with the My Green Lake blog (who offer the same rates), that will give you another 25% off again. So your first two months sponsoring both blogs is only $225. Plus, we donate 10% of all sponsorship proceeds to the Wallingford charity FamilyWorks.

Advertising
If you just want to run an ad on Wallyhood for a short time or for a more limited budget, you can do that, too. We have advertising space available between the first and second blog posts on our home page and after the comments section on every blog post. You can choose a budget of as little as a few dollars per day, upload your logo and text and *poof*, your ad is running. The cost is $40 / thousand impressions (CPM). Click here to get started.
The Numbers
Wallyhood is well read in the Wallingford neighborhood:
- 1,150+ RSS readers daily
- 5,700+ unique web site visitors / month
- 38,000 pageviews / month
(Numbers as of December 2009, and vary over time)
One final note: we write about all local businesses, whether or not they are sponsors, so please don’t feel shy about writing us with your special, news and happenings, whether or not you choose to be a sponsor. Sponsorship does not guarantee positive coverage and we reserve the right to refuse or discontinue any client at any time.
