Someone came into my back yard and stole the Propane tank out of my BBQ.
If I was a betting man, I bet you’d find it amongst one of the “illegal” camps along the Burke-Gilman trail off N Pacific St. I see propane tanks strewn about several of those sites. Especially, in the area around the intersection of N Pacific & Bagley Ave N.
I don’t want anyone stealing my shit, and if I catch them doing it, I’ll go full bampot. However, if people are stealing gas to stay warm and cook because society and the mayor have failed them (or they it) then I’m 20% less mad.
So you are less mad that the drug addled take your shit. Good for you. You are so much nicer than me. I do not want them in my yard, thank you very much.
80% of my angry is still a murderous rage tho. No hugs implied.
Last month I saw someone steal a propane tank and drive off on a scooter. It happened fast so by the time I figured out what was going on, he already left.
The next day, I was driving on North Lake and saw him working on a giant tent next to the Burke Gilman.
I called the police but they told me that they wouldn’t do anything.
Tonight, I saw him on a bike in my street. He stopped, looked into my car and drove away.
@rikc – I am assuming you asked the police why they woudn’t do anything. Care to share their response? Thank you.
Anyone seen Phoenix Jones lately?
I imagine that if they stole a propane cylinder from some working schlub, they also stole the stove or grill it attaches to. Just keep working, buy more stuff that the drunks and druggies can steal, then work more to replace the stuff they steal so they can steal that, too. After all, maintenance is not a priority when you’re stoned, and stuff wears out. Don’t be greedy.
