More Trouble on Latona

More trouble at 4338 Latona. Back in April, regular readers (and neighbors) may remember there were reports of gunfire (which the residents denied) followed by an outdoor scuffle during a large party (Incident on Latona). Several neighbors have reported that the scene was repeated this past Friday night, with witnesses describing a car speeding away from the melee, gun out the window, shots firing in the air. Apparently, these two incidents, amazing and out-of-place in Wallingford as they are, are actually…

Well, what could be a more appropriate addition to this event than children? Ballard blogger Julian Davies of Totcycle (rhymes with popsicle) clarifies: I'm launching Kidical Mass in Seattle, and would love to have you along on our first ride, in two weeks! Kidical Mass started in Eugene, spread to Portland,…

Art Walk Report

So, did everyone have a good time at the Wallingford Art Walk last night? We arrived a bit late, close to 8, so we missed most of the fun (but a fair trade, considering we did get to enoy Mrs. Wallyhood's famous fish tacos followed by a taste of newly legalized absinthe, complete with fleche-riding flaming sugar cube). Most remarkable piece of art: pencil drawing of full grown lion stretched out over and enjoying the pleasures of a well-muscled, naked man,…
