Color My World

All right, ladies, who are you rooting for?  Steelers?  . . . . or Packers? On the side of the Wells Fargo Building on Densmore Ave. N.  A study in shades?  Picking new paint colors? Cute, and disturbing at the same time.  At the corner of Wallingford Ave. N. and 45th. Found an abandoned shopping cart here and decided to wheel it back to QFC.  Interesting how your resemblance to a homeless person increases in proportion to your distance from a…

You Know You Live in Wallingford When…

Ever have one of those moments that seems to define something about your life?  Or to reinforce some label you've given to your world? I'll give you an example. The first…

She was hysterical and hollering bloody murder in the middle of 50th and Keystone at the top of her lungs. When I took a look outside, I saw that she had managed to stop some unfortunate lady driver and was wailing "I don't knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!" over…

Stone Way Pedestrian Sting

Did you happen to get stuck with a ticket on Stone Way today? If not, call yourself lucky (or careful), as numerous vehicles were pulled over this afternoon after not immediately stopping for undercover cops casually crossing the crosswalk between 41st and 40th Street. The  Seattle Police Department Pedestrian Sting Operation was granted by the city council after complaints from neighboring businesses/neighbors.  There was a large police presence, including motorcycle officers hiding in a small condo driveway waiting to ticket vehicles.
