We're hearing reports that the police have blocked off 46th Street to the west of QFC in Wallingford. We understand that they are negotiating with a mentally ill person who has barricaded him/herself in their house and may be suicidal. This is unrelated to the huge police sting that has been going on on Stone Way and 40th to ticket drivers who don't yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk or who speed. That's what we know now.
