Mighty-O on the Food Network

We are lucky to have so many late winter and early spring bloomers in the Northwest. I've had a request to identify some of the flowers popping out, so here we go: There are lots of great big mature Camellia shrubs blooming. Redeeming Soles

Back in January, we told you about the "Day On" day at John Stanford, where students and their families spent Martin Luther King, Jr. day cleaning up their school and such.  On that day, the students also hosted a shoe drive, in partnership with Redeeming Soles, a nonprofit organization that provides footwear to the underprivileged and homeless living in Seattle. We've all committed to staying indoors this weekend, right?  Well check this out. New Neighborhood Preschool: Exploration Academy
