Terra Hemp Closing

Jordan Jordan July 15, 2011 2 Comments

After 16 years in Wallingford, Terra Hemp, purveyor of “hemp and earth-friendly items”, will be closing its doors for good at the end of this month, according to their web site. Word is they will continue to operate on-line, but we haven’t verified that with them yet. We do know that offering 30% off all items.

Please don’t try to smoke the shirts.

Darn it! Some of my favorite (and most durable) clothes I bought at Terra Hemp. Part of the problem may be durability, in that even years later these items are showing little signs of wear…and believe me they are worn, a LOT. So there’s no need to keep purchasing more because the originals last. It will be a sad loss to the neighborhood for me, but if they do continue to operate on line I’ll support them.

I love the wallet I bought myself there last year when I was supposed to be Christmas shopping for my partner. Shhhh, don’t tell her that’s when I got it! Anyway, I think I have to go pick up another one & sock it away for later.
