SHARE Shelter closing at Gift of Grace Church

This morning, My Green Lake reported that all neighborhood SHARE shelters would close on October 10, citing a widely-distributed email from SHARE. So, we contacted Pastor Jami Fecher over at Gift of Grace and he confirmed that he also received the same correspondence notifying him of the closures. Shine on Seattle

Shine On Seattle is a community bike-ride fundraiser benefiting Seattle Public Schools where participants will ride as sponsors for their school of choice. Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase shares for local schools in Seattle City Light's groundbreaking Community Solar Project. The fun starts at Gas Works Park at 8:00 a.m. (ride at 9:00 a.m.) on Sunday, October 9th. Seattle City Council sets standards for shelters

Last week, Seattle City Council approved a set of standards for encampments hosted by religious entities including faith-based community shelter support in church buildings, parking lots, or land leased to churches. Crosswalks and Trash Cans

Colleen Kurke, President of the Wallingford Chamber of Commerce is working with SDOT to implement more crosswalks and public garbage cans in the neighborhood, and she's asking for your help.
