Abbey Road mural comes together

Jordan Jordan February 6, 2012 7 Comments

Following the destruction of the old Chuck Berry / Elvis Presley / Jim Hendix mural on the side of Golden Oldies back in August and the aborted replacement, a new new replacement is finally underway.

The Seattle Weekly notes that the new mural is the work of noted muralist David Heck and will feature the likenesses of the Fab Four, a la Abbey Road…if Abbey Road was a stretch of I-90 leading up to Snoqualmie Pass, perhaps?

(Thanks to Nancy M. for the heads up!)

I think it is cool as it is – people can stand in front of it and have their picture taken!

Beautiful work, but it does seem a bit risky presenting such a strong illusion of a road there, given what happened to the last mural!

Needs a “Free Bird Seed” sign.

I think it would be nice if they didnt paint anything else on it. Then one could stand in front of it and be ones own fab four or five or six or one.

Two thumbs up. This is better than the mural pre-crash and infinitely better than that last crap they had up there.

Floor Pie, I thought the exact same thing.
