Abbey Road mural comes together

Following the destruction of the old Chuck Berry / Elvis Presley / Jim Hendix mural on the side of Golden Oldies back in August and the aborted replacement, a new new replacement is finally underway. Drunk driver takes out cars on Thackeray Pl.

Wallyhood reader Andrew wrote to tell us this bit of bad news from Wednesday night: On Thackeray Pl., north of 45th St., mine and my neighbor's car were both hit by a drunk driver. Metro: No plans to eliminate Route 26

Looks like Wallingfordians took Metro up on it's offer to "Have a Say" regarding its proposed system-wide restructure. You may recall, there were many advocates who wanted Metro to keep Route 26. Last June, we wrote about a new bilingual preschool in Wallingford -- Cometa Playschool.
