In order to make the trip happen, the school must raise money to cover the cost of airfare and lodging for the students, and the school is…

Birds, Bees, Rabbits, and Maybe a Goat

Wallingford Walks is hosting its annual urban farms tour this Saturday, June 9, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. This year, leaders from Seattle’s only 4-H Club and a farmer from City Grown Seattle will guide folks around the neighborhood, stopping at homes that keep bees, raise chickens, ducks, rabbits and maybe even a goat.  The tour will also include plenty of fruit and vegetable gardens, and farmers will be present to welcome walkers and describe the joys of their urban farm.
