McDonald International School Grand Opening

After two years of ramping up in its interim site at Lincoln, F.A. McDonald International School has moved into its own, spiffy, newly-remodeled building on N. 54th St. at Latona. The school had been closed for 28 years and was in pretty bad shape until now. But starting on September 5, approximately 293 students will walk through its doors to begin a new school year; 112 of which will be Kindergartners. Little Peppers Meetups For Fall

The Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS) group at the Good Shepherd Center now has a fall schedule for "Little Peppers" (families with two children under the age of three). Julia’s Bakery Bakes No More

Last week, alert reader Michelle notified us of the impending closure of Julia's Bakery (not to be confused with Julia's Restaurant which is still alive and well). We haven't been able to get the inside scoop (the former bakery manager declined to be interviewed and phone calls to Julia's owner have not yet been returned), but thought Wallyhood readers would want to know that they should not stop by the bakery in hopes of coffee or yummy baked goodness.
