WCC and Skanska Work Together on Community Project

The Wallingford Community Council and Skanska USA Commercial Development recently signed an agreement to work together to develop a project of benefit to our community. The agreement is part of a settlement of WCC’s appeal of Skanska’s project at 34th and Stone Way. Among projects under consideration is one which will provide improved neighborhood access to Lake Union. Repeal Day at Blue Star

Last week, we gave you the 411 on a Fremont celebration of Repeal Day. Of course, Wallingford is not exactly a dry neighborhood, so we were pleased to hear that the Blue Star will be hosting a Repeal Day event this Wednesday, December 5th. In addition to food and drink specials from the 1930's era, there will be a prohibition era jazz band, Glenn Grytzer and Syncopators. How often do you get to hear a gobble pipe in Wallingford?

Adopt-A-Tree to Decorate on 45th

As mentioned in an earlier post, the Wallingford Chamber of Commerce will be donating food to FamilyWorks this holiday season in lieu of spending money on decorating the trees along 45th Street in Wallingford.
