Stone 34 Update

Linda Mitchell, the Community Outreach Director for the Stone 34 construction project at...wait for it...Stone Way and 34th, sent an update yesterday on the project. Some tidbits: Demolition is done and excavation has begun; they're currently at the 3rd level of the garage. Heavy trucking for the mass excavation is anticipated to run until late April. John Stanford Earns ‘Overall Excellence’ Award

For the second year in a row, John Stanford International School (JSIS) was awarded for "Overall Excellence" by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and the State Board of Education. The Washington Achievement Awards recognize top-performing schools, identified through the state's Achievement Index and criteria set in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Flexibility Waiver. Community Council Meets Tomorrow Night

The Wallingford Community Council will hold its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 3, 7:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Center. Among items on the agenda will be updates on the Skanska/Brooks building, updates on various pending land use issues in our community, a presentation by the Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition, planning for the election of new Board members, and information concerning other Wallingford issues and events.
