Comings and Goings

Jordan Jordan February 15, 2009 2 Comments

Taking advantage of the sunshine Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Wallyhood took baby Z for a stroll down 45th and stopped in at Not A Number Gifts, a reliable wellspring of Wallingford gossip. Kara and John pulled themselves away from Valentine’s Day frenzy (nothing says “I love you” like an Avenging Unicorn) to bring us up to date on Wallingford’s comings and goings.

We knew that OfficeMax was closing, but we didn’t know that Zanadia is following suit (That’s Zanadia, the home furnishings store in Wallingford Center, not to be confused with Xanadia, the forum-based My Littly Pony game, “set in a land where magic is an everyday thing for the ponies”).

Lest you think the sky is falling in Wallingford, we hasten to point out that the good Lord giveth as He taketh away, and, in this case, he giveth Wallingford another source for premium gelatto. The spot next to Not A Number, empty for at least a year since Juice Goddess passed, has been leased, and we should expect to have an alternative shortly to the well-deserved wrap-around-the-block lines at Molly Moon’s.

Gelatto makes the world go ’round! Any word on the opening date?

I am unable to fathom those wrap around the block lines- so, YAY!
