Garage Sale Mappage

Jordan Jordan July 9, 2009 2 Comments

garage-sale-signsWe’re just absolute suckers for yard sales, garage sales, or, as we used to call ’em Back East, tag sales. It’s not the buying, it’s the rummaging. Think of it this way: it’s an opportunity to connect with stranger using props from their life as conversational fodder. When you’re done, hop on your bike and you can do it again. Awesome.

So we’re going to try an experiment this week: we’re teaming up with the My Green Lake blog to offer you a map of all the garage sales around Wallingford / Greenlake area. We’ll publish it Friday afternoon so you’ll be armed and dangerous Saturday morning.

Why are we telling you now? Because we want you to tell us if you’re having a garage sale. Sure, we’ll mine Craigslist, but that doesn’t catch them all. So please, if you live in Wallingford / Green Lake and are hosting a garage sale this weekend, send an e-mail to [email protected] with your address, start and end times and, if you like, a list of some of the awesome items you’re selling and we’ll include them in our map on Friday. Thanks!
