Wheelbarrow Drill Team

Jordan Jordan July 8, 2009 Comments are off

If you’re wondering how to get involved in this Saturday’s Wallingford Kiddie Parade, may we suggest you join up with the Wheelbarrow Drill Team. Skip ahead to around 1:15 to see them practicing for last year’s parade here:

You don’t need anything special to join. You probably don’t even need a wheelbarrow (although if you have one, bring it), just show up at 10 am Saturday morning at 4412 Corliss Ave for rehearsal. Parade starts at 11 am, which leaves a full hour for some precision drilling. WCC President and gentlewoman chicken farmer Mary Heim sent this call-out:
We have several guilds represented from last year and have some new ones to add to our parade as banners or on the sides of wheelbarrows. I am writing to ask you to come out and join us in the parade. We would like to have children of any age, 8 to 80, in our wheelbarrow corps.
They’d like to decorate the wheelbarrows as floats, so if you have a float idea, jump in. Contact Cathy or Mary for more info.
