Ivar’s adds adult offering

Don’t you just hate those eye-catching headlines that, while technically accurate, are misleading? A struggling little blog will sink to anything for click-throughs, it seems.

OK, we admit it, Ivar’s waitresses aren’t going topless, but they are serving a new “adult” offering: spiked sno-cones. Jim writes:

spikedconeWe wanted to forward you information about Ivar’s Salmon House’s new offering – something we tested out last week during the major heat wave – sno-cones! They’re served in a rock glass – due to meltage – and you get a little more icy cool refreshment…

Ivar’s Salmon House is making mixed drinks more refreshing. Now serving up “adult”, spiked snow cones! Choose from three flavors:

  • Limoncello, Skyy Vodka and margarita mixes
  • Skyy Vodka and grape flavor
  • Skyy Vodka and cherry flavor

Or, “name-your-own”!

Available every day thru August 14, 3:30pm to close for $6. Also kid cones — grape or cherry for $2.25. Perfect for the barge or deck!

We’d like to suggest the “Wallychill”: Rum, mint and simple syrup, sno-cone style.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors.
