Greenwood Garage Sale Day

Jordan Jordan September 11, 2009 1 Comment

Sure, sure, we’ll have our weekly garage sale / open house map of Wallingford / Green Lake later today, but honestly, it just won’t compare to what’s going on up on Phinney Ridge / Greenwood, where they’re having their annual garage sale day. If this year is like past, there will be around 150 sales sprinkled throughout the neighborhood, plus a tool swap and a few flea markets for good measure.

You can download and print the map in advance, or pick one up at the Phinney Neighborhood Center (6532 Phinney Ave N).

Just in time, the Seattle Weekly offers their tips for spotting a good garage sale:

You rarely if ever find anything good at a sale that advertises 1.) baby clothes, 2.) a futon or 3.) an aquarium.

Back before we had Baby Z, we would have agreed with all three. Now, we’re not so sure; that onesie is kinda cute.

How about we sub in “exercise equipment” for baby clothes?

..but ..but.. I need a cheap futon mattress right now for an office project, and I’ve been wanting another aquarium!

(Actually, anyone getting rid of their aquariums, feel free to contact me..)
