Wallingford Community Center

Jordan Jordan September 29, 2009 Comments are off

Wallingford Community Center, you ask? What Wallingford Community Center?

Indeed! Phinney Ridge has its amazing Phinney Neighborhood Center, Ballard has a community Center, Laurelhurst has a community center. In fact, it seems like all the cool kids have a community center. What about Wallingford?

Well, it seems our turn may be up. There is a belief among the Wallingford leadership that the city may be finding a spot in its budget to help Wallingford create a neighborhood community center. If so, it’s up to us to decide how to use it. To that end, there’s a community meeting this Thursday, October 1st from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the St Benedict School (4811 Wallingford Ave N) to discuss what facilities should be included.

If you can’t be there, the organizers encourage you to share your views through an on-line survey. More info at the Wallingford Community Center web site.
