Auction Update

Thanks again to everyone who donated and bid on items in our fundraiser auction for the Wallingford Senior Center. In a bit of bad timing, we find ourselves writing this post from Barcelona, where we’ve been attending a conference for the past several days. As such, we’re a bit behind on getting notes out to the winner bidders and the donators, but appreciate your patience, we will send out notes shortly.

Also, Kathleen Cromp of the Senior Center tells us they’ve extended their deadline for their “go no go” decision on the Center while they digest and consider the outpouring of support the community has offered over the past several weeks (and as they try to nail down funding options).

Jordan

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

    …and what is Jordan bringing back to all of us in Wallyhood as a present from Barcelona?? I’ll be waiting….and no cheap gaudi trinket from the airport!
