Skate Like A Girl

Reliable sources have informed us that this will be rad. Furthermore, we have it on good authority that we will be stoked. What is the source of the radage and stokage, you may ask? Girls in Space at Innerspace.

As is only fitting, the event is advertised on Facebook:

You should be part of the RADDEST event on Sunday [Feb 14th] 10-noon! Check it out this weekend and you will be so stoked. If you are new to skating, we have fun group lessons that will have you skating all over the park within an hour.

Skate Like a Girl has rented out Innerspace indoor skate park [3506-1/2 Stone Way N] in Fremont and we want to see you there. All girls/all ages/all abilities. Boys are also welcome if you talk your mom into skating 🙂

$5 to skate, $15 for a group lesson, including equipment. Gnarly.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
