Saturday afternoon Drew Derby, 2010_3_13_FamilyWorksPuppetShow-3787King County librarian, storyteller and puppet master, performed a benefit show in the Community Room at FamilyWorks. A packed house of about 100 attentive audience members, of all ages, were treated to several stories and songs from a wide range of traditions. Raising close to $400 dollars for FamilyWorks (well over the $2 suggested donation price), this event was a resounding success and very entertaining, even for the adults.

Your next opportunity to support a good cause and have a fun family outing is April 24th, from 4-5pm, at the Wallingford Boys & Girls Club. The Not Its will be performing their, ‘fantastic danceable pop gems about gettin’ fancy, birthday parties, bath time, and intergalactic play dates.” A fundraiser for both the Boys & Girls Club and FamilyWorks. A suggest donation of $10/person, $25/family, or whatever you can pay. Perfect for families with kids under 8. You can purchase tickets at brownpapertickets.com or at the door.
