A Muddy Parrot

parrotSarah from A Muddy Cup, the coffee shop at 45th and Latona, writes:

There is a parrot in the parking lot behind my shop. We spotted him last night in a tree behind our shop and he is very large.  We tried calling as many animal sevices last night as we could with no luck.  Could you please post this, someone is missing their friend.

The question, of course, is what is he saying?

On a barely related note, if you want some morning amusement, enjoy this remake of the classic Monty Python sketch as performed by a couple of gentleman from West Africa who had the tables turned on them after they tried to trick people into sending money as part of one of those “I would like to transfer money to you from Nigeria” scams.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

    Someone in our condo left a large bird cage in our trash room. If you want it, reply w/contact info or tell Wallyhood and I will arrange to let you have it.
