Pop Some Tags this Saturday

The primo yard sale experience in Wallingford is JSIS yard sale poster 2013happening this Saturday, when the annual John Stanford International School Yard Sale Tour takes place from 9 am to 3 pm.

In addition to toys, kid’s gear, books, and housewares, there will be bake sales at all locations and raffles for some great prizes. Proceeds benefit the JSIS PTSA.

Come out to our seven locations and support your local public elementary school! Maps are available at the host homes.

Barb has lived in south Wallingford since 1992. She's a lady with a lopper as volunteer lead of the Burke-Gilman Trail Urban Orchard Stewards, a group that cares for public fruit trees along the Burke-Gilman Trail between Eastern and where Pacific becomes N 34th. In February 2020 Barb founded the current Friends of Meridian Playground which cares for the fruit trees and grounds of the park and holds weekly volunteer work parties on Wednesday noonish. Friday mornings she joins the Tilth Alliance volunteers to manage the care of the fruit trees at the Good Shepherd learning garden. Barb worked for nonprofit City Fruit for 9 years and still partners with them to teach neighbors to grow good fruit locally. Barb is also accumulating records and photos about the Good Shepherd property for eventual publication online.

    Is the address at 2115 on 46th St? If it is actually 45th St. That property owner is being sued by the city for land use violation. As a neighbor of the 45th St. and Corliss properties, we hope our neighbors will not shop there. Here is the City Atty contact info:

    The yard sale location is on 46th Street, a private home.

    I am excited about this sale! As a substitute teacher Ive had first hand experience in JSIS. The programs are phenomenal.
    Their sales have the assortments always dreamed of at sales. I support them all the way.

    Great! I love yard sales also. Just not a permanent junky looking set of tents and lockers right across from my home.
