Lots of shops offer “buy one, get one free” deals. Ho hum. Yawn.

Zaw, however, has a lovely, community minded spin on it:

We often get inspired by our customers, like when one of our favorite regulars at Zaw called us to arrange for a pizza and bottle of wine to be delivered to their neighbor… just because! Well, that little gesture tickled our fancy and hit on a lot of the values all of us working at ‘zaw adhere to … so …we jumped on the community bandwagon to launch Good Neighbor Days at ‘zaw.

A FREE Pizza for your neighbor! We invite you to share a feel good feeling (and a feel good free pizza) with someone special in your ‘hood.

During a four day period in your neighborhood, we’ll take care of your neighbor for FREE. Order a pizza delivery for yourself and let us know which neighbor you would like to treat (as long as they are within 1 block from you). When we drop off your delivery, we’ll visit your neighbor and drop them off a free pizza on your behalf.

They’re offering the deal in different neighborhoods at different times. For Wallingford, it’s July 1st – July 4th. That’s Monday through Thursday of this week. You can order now for anytime this week.

I hope it’s the start of a trend.
