Wallingford Art Walk

august aw 13Wednesday is the second Wednesday of the month, and thus, from 6 – 9 pm, Wallingford Art Walk. As always, we welcome pre-clues about what’s going on, which we will happily share here. Here’s what we know, via Colleen Kurke, organizer:

The Wallingford Center Plaza will feature “The East Street Band” from 6:30 to 8PM. Also some businesses will have art displayed. Maps will be at the plaza that evening. Easy Street is a 9-piece Jazz Swing Band with an outstanding female vocalist located in Seattle, Washington. Easy Street regularly plays around the Seattle area at events such as the Wallingford Art Walk, Downtown Jazz, Bite of Seattle etc and regularly at Tula’s Jazz Club in downtown Seattle.

Wednesday weather is projected to be in the high 70’s. You could do worse than hear live, outdoor music in the evening.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
