I am hoping you will be able to do a post about an exciting series of seminars that we will be having at 4 locations on Sundays in October. This is a series of seminars by local experts in alternative healing and wellness we are calling Ways to Wellness.

The series kicks off at 2 pm this Sunday, October 6th at the Green Lake Branch (7364 E. Green Lake Dr. N.) with “Memory Training for Brain”, led by mnemonics expert Charles Kraus. He will present “classic memory secrets to help you keep track of your busy life.”

It will conclude on Sunday, Oct 27th at the Wallingford Community Senior Center in the Good Shepherd Center with “Meditation and Kindness”, by Dr. Fernando Vega, founder of Seattle Healing Arts. He will share “insights on meditation as a way for wellness”.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
