Conversation Cafe First Three Tuesdays starting Oct 1, 3:30 – 5pm. Free Drop-in conversations among diverse, engaging people. A simple process fosters meaningful conversation. Hosted by Lara Okoloko, WCSC Social Worker.

Bloedel Reserve Trip
Thursday, Oct 10, 9am – 5pm. $31
Enjoy a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island then lunch and shopping in Winslow. Afterwards tour Bloedel Reserve’s woodlands, gardens and home.

“A Penny Saved” Workshop
Tuesday, Oct 22, 1 – 2:30pm. Free
Learn about saving your pennies through economical programs, resources and services for Seattle seniors. Led by Lara Okoloko, WCSC Social Worker.

Medicare & The Affordable Care Act
Wednesday, Oct 23, 12:45 – 1:45pm. Free
The Medicare open enrollment period is Oct 15 – Dec 7. Learn how the Affordable Care Act will affect YOU at this seminar with Liz Mercer, SHIBA representative.

Tai Chi Walking for Balance
Fridays, Oct 25 – Nov 8, 9:30 – 10:15am. $2 members / $3 public
Learn Tai Chi concepts and movements to improve your sure-footedness for safer walking. Led by Yadviga Halsey, WCSC volunteer.

Family Movie & Scary Spaghetti
Saturday, Oct 26, 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Donations appreciated
Families, neighbors, friends – come for scary spaghetti and and a family movie! We’ll be serving dinner and showing a Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit (rated G).

Meditation & Kindness – A Wellness Seminar
Sunday, Oct 27, 2 – 3pm (light brunch at 1pm). Donations appreciated
WCSC hosts the last of four seminars brought to us by The Seattle Public Library. Gain insights on meditation as a way to wellness by Dr. Fernando Vega, founder of Seattle Healing Arts.

E-Books & Downloads
Wednesday, Oct 30, 10-11:30am. Free
Getting an e-reader or just curious about digital books? Get your questions answered at this class brought to us by The Seattle Public Library.
