BF Day fundraiser at Mockingbird Books

Jordan Jordan November 15, 2013 1 Comment

Wendy Ostenson from Mockingbird Books in Green Lake  (and Wallingford mom) writes:

The BF Day Elementary library is partnering with Mockingbird Books for pre-holiday book shopping. On this upcoming Saturday, Nov. 16, a percentage of the day’s sales will go back to BF Day. Mr. Hammer, local storyteller and BF Day Librarian, will be at the bookstore at 1 p.m. for stories, treats, and more fun events! Booksellers will be on hand to show you books that are the right reading level and interest category. Tell the bookseller, “I am shopping to support BF Day!”

This shopping event will also happen on Saturday, Dec. 14. Mockingbird Books is a children’s bookstore located at 7220 Woodlawn Ave NE, (near Rosita’s Mexican Restaurant by Green Lake.) It specializes in local writers, supporting early literacy, and building a community of readers.
