Oliver and friends (1)Teresa Donovan from the Fremont Community School in Wallingford wanted to let the neighborhood know about their upcoming open houses for prospective parents:

Meet our teachers and learn about our program curriculum and Waldorf education.

2014-15 Application Deadline is February 7, 2014

  • January 26th, Sunday, 3 to 5 PM
  • February 5th, Wednesday, 7 to 8:30 PM

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

    can you help m eunderstand ho wthe Fremont Community School is in Wallingford? Why not Wallingford Community School?

      It is in Wallingford because that’s physically where it is. In Wallingford. It is close to Fremont, but everything east of Stone Way, which it is, is Wallingford, not Fremont.

      Fremont Community School also started out in Fremont about 26 years ago and then moved to lower Wallingford in 2003
