Bike to Work Day

Jordan Jordan May 14, 2014 1 Comment

MayBikeMonth.sizedFriday May 16th is Bike to Work Day, put on by the Cascade Bicycle Club. It will feature dozens of commuter stations set up around the city, booths set up by local businesses to give some love to passing cyclists.

Locally, the Stone34 building project and Speedy Reedy will have a booth at Stone Way on the Burke Gilman trail, where “the first 100 people to brake … get a special pass for some fun offers from our neighbors at the Base of Stone Way like Essential Baking Company, evo, Fremont Brewing Company, Milstead & Co., Tiny Ninja Cafe, and Urban Earth Nursery.”

Just to the west, under the Aurora Bridge, there should be another booth (or booths?) sponsored by the Cascade Bicycle Club, Nickerson Street Saloon, Hub and Bespoke, F5, Clif Bar, Nuun, JL Velo, Verity Credit Union, Ortlieb, and Theo Chocolate, with bike assistance by Performance Bicycles.

Get on your bikes and ride!

Ugh, today is Wednesday May 14, tomorrow is Thursday May 15, and Bike to Work Day is actually Friday May 16. Cut and paste error from last year? http://www.cascade.org/f5-bike-work-day
