Thanks to all the great Seattle Night Out parties that welcomed Zev and I! We had a ball playing in bouncy houses and drinking mojitos (we didn’t both do both, obviously), firing water balloon catapults, biking down driveways, and enjoying rabbit paella washed down with cthulhu elixir.

It was a great opportunity to meet so many people who live in the neighborhood, and to hear what’s on people’s minds. Not surprisingly, there was concern over the car prowls and packages disappearing from porches, as well as more local issues, like the upsurge in traffic caused by the reduced traffic lanes along Woodland Park. Mostly, though, it was just nice to hear so many people introducing themselves to their neighbors. I heard a few people lament that it only happens once a year.
