I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
I’m so sorry to hear about the tragic loss of your beloved dog Hendrix. He was a good looking dog, and no doubt an integral part of your family.
Seattle’s deeper humanity seems to be one for the ages at this point.
My condolences to you and Hendrix.
Love,
John
Hope we can keep track of this investigation. Be interesting to know if this cowardly driver was in some manner impared, i.e. dope, alcohol, cell phone, or just a clueless idiot driver.
The driver recklessly endangered the woman’s life by passing through an occupied cross walk. The woman is lucky not to have been hit. I am so sorry for your loss.
Thank you all for posting the flyer and for your kind words. Hendrix belonged to my daughter Amanda, and they were pretty much inseparable ever since Amanda brought her home as an 8 wk old puppy 3 yrs ago. They shared many adventures together, and Hendrix was loved by all. She will be greatly missed.
