Wallingford Chamber Logo Contest

Jordan Jordan October 12, 2014 3 Comments

chamber-logoTaking a cue from the Wallingford Community Council, which ran a successful logo contest here earlier this year, the Wallingford Chamber of Commerce is putting a call out for their own logo contest. Nancy Treder writes:

LOCAL LOGO CONTEST – $100 PRIZE!
The Wallingford Chamber of Commerce is changing its logo to keep in step with all the changes in Wallingford. Our current logo is nothing more than a mix of fonts which is fine, but not spectacular. We need your help. We are calling upon all designers, artists and marketing gurus we are offering fame and fortune, for a new Walllingford Chamber of Commerce logo.

Requirements:

    • Black & White
    • The words: Wallingford Chamber of Commerce
    • We do need something to suggest neighborhood and/or Wallingford (no more Space Needle).

All entries to be submitted by Oct. 31st, 2014 to [email protected]. Winner to be announced mid-November.

Existing logo above.

How about kite hill or Gasworks in background/ Or the burned out Kitaro’s or the lovely parklet? Or a big hole in the ground with construction vehicles coming and going/

Actually love “cocoloco’s” humour should it continue to maintain a high level of creativity that is… However, most of us have chosen to live, frequent and do business in our cherished neighborhood for the good reason that we are not Q’Anne or any such exclusive “premier” neighborhoods, but a more inclusive area with standards and diversity that we are really proud of, and therefore; one of the best family and neighbor friendly areas in this Seahawk City of ours…provided increasing “density” doesn’t describe our cerebral capacity!

Well, this is not a diverse neighborhood.. not in any wya. Go to Beacon Hill, Central area and look at diverse.
