Boo!

Jordan Jordan December 2, 2014 4 Comments

OK, don’t want to harp on the crime thing too much, but this one is creepy. Ella writes:

Just wanted to let the community know that  our house was broken in to tonight around the 43rd/interlake block. A macbook pro, cell phone, and our mail was stolen. A roommate was home in her room sleeping and on the thief’s way out (or in to her room to steal more things) they opened the door and said “boo!” and then jetted out. She describes the voice as feminine, so we’re supposing it could be a teenage boy or a girl.

Anyway, it’s a bit concerning that mail was stolen, because identify theft… yikes! The police have been notified. just wanted y’all know so everyone can be aware even when they’re in their homes to be vigilant and maybe to shred all your mail?

You’re not harping on the crime thing, this is my only source of information on safety in our neighborhood, it matters, and we need to know. Thanks.

I agree with avid. Please keep the crime info current on Wallyhood. It is alarming these burglars don’t seem to care if anyone is home or not anymore. Maybe a vigilant pit bull is the only real deterrent these days…

Major big time dumpster diver.. climbed in dumpster and tool out many sacks of garbage and then openly went through them.. I came out to get mail and saw mess. On way to gym half hour later still there. I called manager.. off stone and 43rd. If dd’d feel too comfortable then next step is trying windows and doors.
