Seems like there’s been a resurgence of packages (and BOB strollers) disappearing from porches in Wallingford, after a lull. Thanks to Heather for posting this security camera snapshot and summary to the Wallyhood Facebook page:

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.

    On a brighter note for someone: I FOUND a bike on Christmas Day, abandon in the gutter on the corner of Keystone and 54th st. It is white – contact me to identify and claim it. (If there is a better way to post this information, please assist.)

    With the license plate, can’t SPD track this down? Seems like a license plate and camera footage would be enough…

    I had a white bike stolen about 2 months ago. White Windsor Wellington.

    SPD has said they don’t investigate crimes like this. People have found their goods for sale on Craigslist, and SPD won’t follow up, either.

    The picture was posted by a friend of mine that lives further down Whitman than we do. (we are on Whitman and N Allen) I think it’s pretty sucky that we can go the police with a picture of a crime being committed and have evidence such as a car plate number and they still won’t do anything. It’s shameful.
