Today: Urban Farms, Milk Carton Boats, Pharmaca Deals

If there’s one day every year that’s “Wallingford Day”, that would be today. Here’s the line up:

10 to 4: Seattle Tilth’s Chicken Coop & Urban Farm Tour. If you’re at all interested in bees, goats, chickens, or just seeing cool stuff people build in their yards, this is a great event. I’ve been on the tour twice and gone on the tour twice. I’m always bummed when they schedule it the same day as the Wallingford parade / Mike Carton Derby.

11 to 12: The parade, followed by the festival-ish.

12 to 4: Pharmaca (a sponsor) is having a post-parade event with lots of girly perks like facials, makeovers, massages, and lotions. Be careful not to overdose.

9 to 3: Milk Carton Derby at Green Lake, where the good bits seem to be from 1:15 (parade of boats) through to 2:45 or so (end of final races)
