Was I wrong to expect bratwurst at the festival last year? We were pretty bummed by the food selection but other event features were fun.

      Renee,

There is a TON of Bratwurst, last year as well. In fact, there is an entire Food Booth devoted to serving you as many brats as you want 🙂

One of my favorite things to do on Friday night at the Wurst, is to enjoy a Bratwurst Dinner with all the sides, in the outdoor beer garden. The sun is going down, a live band is always playing on the stage and the kids are running around; feeling wild and free, but actually very safe and protected. This event is so “small town” and one of the best things to do when you are saying goodbye to Summer and hello to Fall.

I have attended this for years. I am curious now what the funds raised are for?

On Saturday, there is a UW home game. Heads up, for the traffic increases a lot around here, for people park in our area to go to the game.

The Wurst Festival is a fundraiser for St. Benedict school and parish.

Maybe they could add some to the teachers’ salaries?? Check with some other Catholic diocese. Some pay as high as 92% of the state teacher payscale.

The used book sale room is worth visiting. The food is usually very tasty at the outdoor booths and in the dining room.
