Thanksgiving Kidical Mass

Tomorrow’s weather will be cold (high of 45°) but crystal clear, making it perfect weather for a pre-feast pedal around Lake Union with the family.

Join other area families for the Annual Thanksgiving Morning Kidical Ride, starting at 10 am from Gas Works, and returning to the same around 3 pm, in time for dinner:

Join us for our very FAMILY FRIENDLY annual Thanksgiving morning ride around Lake Union. Even the very little ones will love this ride. It’s expected to be sunny (and a bit cold)! We’ll circumnavigate the lake clockwise, and this year we’ll do a little detour over to Seattle Center to play in the Center Playground. Likely we’ll stop at Starbucks on Lake Union for warm drinks and snacks. This is a loop, so we will return to Gas Works.
Betsy adds “Just a heads up — parking may be tight as there’ll be a marathon and half marathon race starting at Gasworks that day (200 runners).” She’s referring to the Wattle Waddle, a small full / half-marathon that kicks off at 8 am.

I started Wallyhood back in 2008, right when my son was born, because I realized I had lived in the neighborhood since 1993 and didn't really know my neighbors. I figured writing a blog about what was going on around me would be a good way to meet people and help other people do the same. As the years progressed, those neighbors have picked up the torch and it is now a group effort, which I adore. I moved out of Wallingford for a few years (2020 - 2025), but I'm back, now living with my wife, son and dog (Dillinger) up in Tangletown.
