wford2016graphicwebMaybe you’ve seen the yellow signs all over the neighborhood announcing that this Saturday from 11am to noon is the Wallingford Family Parade.

The Wallingford Family Parade offers lots of fun stuff for kids, families and everyone else! All are welcome to march in the parade, dress up, pull a wagon or ride a bike. Attractions include drill teams, clowns, bands, trophies and a scavenger hunt with prizes. Hundreds of people line the street of the historic Wallingford district to watch the parade.

EVERYONE is welcome to participate!

Hey Kids!  Wanna be in the parade? No need to register in advance. Just show up at the muster site (Lincoln High School parking lot) at 10am ready to go!

The parade starts at 11am at the corner of Interlake and 45th Street, goes east along 45th, and ends at Bagley Avenue N.

After the parade, kids are invited to participate in a “hide and seek” game at local businesses along 45th.

Crosswalk Volunteers still needed – if you are planning to watch the parade, why not also help at a crosswalk?
Contact [email protected] to get an assignment, and/or check in at 10am at the Lincoln High School parking lot.
Parade Route: begins at the corner of Interlake & N 45th, runs East along N 45th Street and ends at Bagley Avenue N.
Once the parade is over – feel free to remove the yellow signs advertising the parade as you come across them.

Wallyhood needs you!

This community blog is all volunteer run, and we welcome articles from everyone in the Wallingford community. Something on your mind? Have a story to share? Please contact us at [email protected] today!
